UNCOMFORTABLE KNOWLEDGE est né d’une passion pour la musique qui a réuni des garçons talentueux aux goûts éclectiques, sans tabous ni oppositions de styles, animés par une sincérité sans faille qui leur a permis de sortir un premier album, BLACK QUEEN (25/09/2021). Une tournée de 20 dates a honoré les titres de cet opus, accueillis par un public qui eut raison de venir dans ces lieux de concerts qui se nomment PALOMA, LE MEDIATOR, MJC PICAUD, auxquels il convient d’ajouter Le CABARET VERT où le groupe s’est produit sur scène en ouverture de SLIPKNOT. Les chroniques des médias ont validé l’énergie et la créativité de U.K, un écho encourageant renforcé par la diffusion très honorable sur les plateformes de streaming (100000 streams cumulés). LIFELINE, le second album, a fait son apparition en février 2024, confirmant la belle dynamique créatrice du groupe qui en a profité pour enchaîner une série de concerts. U.K est originaire de la région Occitanie, ses membres sourient quand on essaye de les coincer dans une case, forcément toujours trop étroite, car le groupe explore les aspects sombres de l’âme humaine avec un post métal hypnotique, combinant riffs lourds et passages atmosphériques pour créer un paysage sonore atypique. LIFELINE, en effet, se signale -entre autre- par des arrangements de cordes baroques et des ambiances de films noirs, qui viennent ajouter une couleur et une tonalité qui contribuent à procurer à U.K une touche indéfinissable. Les fans de BARONESS, INTRONAUT, CULT OF LUNA ne peuvent que se réjouir, mais ils ne seront pas les seuls...

UNCOMFORTABLE KNOWLEDGE was born of a passion for music that brought together talented boys with eclectic tastes, without taboos or opposing styles, driven by an unwavering sincerity that enabled them to release their first album, BLACK QUEEN (25/09/2021). A 20-date tour honored the titles of this opus, welcomed by an audience that was right to come to these concert venues called PALOMA, LE MEDIATOR, MJC PICAUD, to which we should add Le CABARET VERT where the band performed on stage opening for SLIPKNOT. Media reviews have validated U.K.'s energy and creativity, an encouraging echo reinforced by the very respectable distribution on streaming platforms (100,000 streams accumulated). LIFELINE, the second album, was released in February 2024, confirming the band's creative momentum, which was also used for a series of concerts. U.K hails from the Occitanie region of France, and its members smile when you try to fit them into a box that's inevitably always too narrow, as the band explores the darker aspects of the human soul with hypnotic post-metal, combining heavy riffs and atmospheric passages to create an atypical soundscape. Indeed, LIFELINE's baroque string arrangements and film noir ambiences add a color and tone that give U.K. an indefinable touch. Fans of BARONESS, INTRONAUT and CULT OF LUNA can only rejoice, but they won't be the only ones...
