ELSIE BINX was born in January of 2015 when Kevin Wesley Williams & Erin Accomando began making music together at The Sound Shop Studio in Macomb, Michigan, after having worked side-by-side in the corporate music industry for about a year. They set out to create the sound of a new pop/rock project. With Aaron Golematis’ and Phil Steuer’s help, they would produce a 7-song album (Smile and a Bullet) that would eventually bring together the group of musicians who call themselves ELSIE BINX (EBX) today.

Upon releasing their first album in October of 2015, they began playing shows as a 5-piece band and writing new music collaboratively. A few months into the endeavor, they made the decision to add a permanent second guitar player (Jonny “Vegas” Neville) as well as a keyboard player and background singers. Through 2016, they continued gigging locally and worked diligently to write an entirely new rock album. They successfully released their first full-length 12-song album, ‘That’s What She Said’, in April of 2017. It was during this time that Jen Read became a background singer and eventually permanent keyboard player the following year.

In early 2018, Darin “DC” Curtis would become their drummer and Tom Harper would become their bassist. They immediately released a single and music video for their awareness-driven song, ‘Everything About It’. Just over a year later, they released their first acoustic EP titled, ‘Electric Baby’, in August of 2019. Their 2019 single release, ‘Mean Girls’, both ‘fugly’ and ‘radio’ edits, are word-plays on the cult classic film, Mean Girls (2004). These 3 projects mark a turning point in EBX’s sound, as there were now 3 new members bringing new ideas and different talents to the table.

From 2017 to 2020, EBX played all around the Metro Detroit area as a 6-7 piece band and travelled to many locations in the Mid-West and West Coast, including Philadelphia, Chicago, Toledo, Fort Wayne, Tulsa, St. Louis, Amarillo, Las Vegas, Tarzana, Denver, Omaha, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Atlantic City, Pittsburgh and the incredibly iconic Whisky A Go-Go in West Hollywood, CA.

Since March 2020, they’ve concentrated specifically on collaboratively writing music and hosting digital concerts on their Twitch channel. As a way to be able to release some unique content while figuring out the new landscape of creating music as a band during quarantine, they released two cover singles with videos: “Separate Ways” by Journey and “The Show Must Go On” by Queen.

As of 2022, EBX has released their second full-length studio album, “Madness”. This record was written almost entirely over the course of the pandemic, using only technology to pass ideas and digital files back and forth until they could safely meet in person again. This record marks their most collaborative work to date. Many members contributed to lyrics, melodies, instrumental parts and production. As a result, the music recorded on “Madness” represents the sound of EBX with an accuracy never before achieved by the group.

In 2023, they released multiple singles and videos, one of which has over 200k combined listens and views. They are currently working on new original and cover songs to be released.

In May 2024, the band signed a contract with Rock World Music, with Valentin Labani becoming the band’s Manager.

ELSIE BINX est né en janvier 2015 lorsque Kevin Wesley Williams et Erin Accomando ont commencé à faire de la musique ensemble au Sound Shop Studio à Macomb, Michigan, après avoir travaillé côte à côte dans l’industrie de la musique d’entreprise pendant environ un an. Ils ont entrepris de créer le son d’un nouveau projet pop/rock. Tout au long de l’année 2016, ils ont continué à se produire localement et ont travaillé assidûment à l’écriture d’un tout nouvel album de rock. Ils ont réussi à sortir leur premier album complet de 12 chansons, « That’s What She Said », en avril 2017. C’est à cette époque que Jen Read est devenue deuxième chanteuse, puis claviériste permanente l’année suivante.

Début 2018, Darin « DC » Curtis est devenu leur batteur et Tom Harper leur bassiste. Ils ont immédiatement sorti un single et un clip vidéo pour leur chanson axée sur la sensibilisation, ‘Everything About It’. Un peu plus d’un an plus tard, ils sortent leur premier EP acoustique intitulé « Electric Baby » en août 2019. Leur single de 2019, « Mean Girls “, dont les deux éditions ” fugly “ et ” radio “ sont des jeux de mots sur le film classique culte ” Mean Girls » (2004). Ces trois projets marquent un tournant dans le son d’EBX, car il y a maintenant trois nouveaux membres qui apportent de nouvelles idées et de nouveaux talents.

De 2017 à 2020, EBX a joué dans toute la région de Metro Detroit en tant que groupe de 6 à 7 membres et a voyagé dans de nombreux endroits du Mid-West et de la côte ouest, notamment à Philadelphie, Chicago, Toledo, Fort Wayne, Tulsa, St. Louis, Amarillo, Las Vegas, Tarzana, Denver, Omaha, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Atlantic City, Pittsburgh et l’incroyablement emblématique Whisky A Go-Go à West Hollywood, CA.

Depuis mars 2020, ils se concentrent spécifiquement sur l’écriture collaborative de musique et l’organisation de concerts numériques sur leur chaîne Twitch. Afin de pouvoir sortir un contenu unique tout en découvrant le nouveau paysage de la création musicale en tant que groupe pendant le confinement, ils ont sorti deux singles de reprises avec des vidéos : « Separate Ways » de Journey et “The Show Must Go On” de Queen.

En 2022, EBX a sorti son deuxième album studio, « Madness ». Cet album a été écrit presque entièrement pendant la pandémie, en utilisant uniquement la technologie pour transmettre des idées et des fichiers numériques jusqu’à ce qu’ils puissent se rencontrer à nouveau en toute sécurité. Cet album est leur travail le plus collaboratif à ce jour. De nombreux membres ont contribué aux paroles, aux mélodies, aux parties instrumentales et à la production. En conséquence, la musique enregistrée sur « Madness » représente le son d’EBX avec une précision jamais atteinte par le groupe.

En 2023, le groupe a sorti plusieurs singles et vidéos, dont l’un a été écouté et visionné plus de 200 000 fois. Ils travaillent actuellement sur de nouvelles chansons originales et des reprises à sortir.

En mai 2024, le groupe a signé un contrat avec Rock World Music, Valentin Labani devenant Manager du groupe.
